Welcome to the 2024 Summer Earn and Learn landing spot for all your internship matching and placement needs! Professional Contract Services, Inc. (PCSI) is the SEAL 2024 partner tasked with guiding you through the internship matching process. We will work with your TWC-VRS Counselor (VRC) to match you to a job site based on your expressed preferences, the employer’s needs, your proximity to the job site, and your availability for work. There may also be situations where we work directly with you or your parent to complete the matching process.

Here are a few things you should know about this summer’s program:

Timeline

All internships last either 5 or 6 weeks.

Coaching

Work Experience Trainers (WET), commonly referred to as job coaches, may be available to support you during your internship. This is a conversation for you to have with your VRC.

Opportunity

Some interns who excel in their roles may be offered employment at the end of their internships.

Monitoring

PCSI also manages the worksite monitoring process for the SEAL program. At some point during your internship, a member of our SEAL team will come to your jobsite to visit with you and your employer. The purpose of this visit is to ensure you are meeting your employer’s expectations and to ensure that all is well with you and your job. If there is a problem, we will do what we can to fix it, or find someone who can help you.

Accessible Workplace

Students may select to enroll in preliminary Workplace Readiness Training classes where they will receive training on soft skills for work success.

Work Experience Trainers (Job Coaches) may be available to assist you at your SEAL internship site. Please contact your TWC-Vocational Rehabilitation Services counselor with eligibility and trainer availability questions.
